Amy Jane Griffiths, PhD, NCSP
Research Affiliate at the Thompson Policy Institute on Disability
Dr. Amy Jane Griffiths is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 24536) and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She is an Associate Professor in the Attallah College of Educational Studies at Chapman University, where she coordinates the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) program. Prior to joining Chapman, Dr. Griffiths directed several clinical and non-public school programs serving youth with mental health needs and disabilities. She is also a research affiliate at the Thompson Policy Institute on Disability. Dr. Griffiths’ translational research explores how to better prepare children and adolescents—particularly those from underserved backgrounds—for connected, engaged, and meaningful adult lives. Her work focuses on two overlapping areas: school-based interventions that promote long-term student well-being and success, and career development and transition supports for neurodivergent teens and young adults. Her research and applied work aim to bridge research, policy, and practice to create systems that support thriving across the lifespan.
